Week 11

Taylor finally found some horses and they are not to bad looking..

OK the dog is not good looking they said they run wild like cats do here.

Apparently they use the fans every where.

So excited to get candy that by the time they got the Easter Peeps they decided to roast them to make them soft again,

week 10

hey i got packages today!!!!! i dont know what ones but the other elders in our house went to salvador today and we called them and they said i had two packages! i am so excited haha. We get on the computer at a lan house. it is just a intrnet cafe place with a lot of computers. haha yeah i get ran over a lot but i am getting better and better. haha keep on them about my saddle i wanna see some pictures of it.

so this week was a tough week our best investigator doesnt want to be babtized now. it seemed like we could only find people to talk to that didnt really care. it was so frustrating, but one good thing was that we had a investigator stop drinking coffee and wine! that was way cool. we only have one more week in this transfer it is crazy how fast time is going. i miss roping a lot haha i think about it all the time. its kinda funny my companion laughs at me when i imaginary rope things while we are walking haha. 

! i am so excited to talk to you guys i cant wait.

Week 9

haha I am glad to hear kycen has finally been bucked off it is about time.but when i first looked at that picture i thought it was our two year old. the conference was awesome. elder clayton of the 70 spoke and his wife.one thing she said was be the missionary your mom thinks you are haha i liked that. the language is getting better. i can speak my part of  the  lesson pretty good now but i am far from fluent. it is so difficult but yeah it is getting better. oh and vocsês is plural if you are telling one persone i love you it is eu amo você. so this week was a little difficult because we didnt have any money haha. because the other missionaries got robbed they needed to borrow money to get to salvador and the last two days we were completly broke haha. i didnt want to use a lot of my personal money but i did a little. but we still managed to buy some coke so it was ok haha. we have some really good investigators right now. one is name john kenned!  haha i like his name because i can remember it. he is 16 years old. one way cool thing that happened this week was he said, that i said ones phrase during one of the visits and he felt completly different like he knew what i was saying was true. that was sooo cool that i know,  that i am actually helping people not just blabbering not knowing if i am saying things right. i have been taking my rope with me more and i chased some goats this week haha. i also will send a picture of the back window of a car that had a picture of a calfroper on it it was awesome haha not much different this week.

week 8

hey this week was good we found some new investigators that I am really excited about. haha I love the tarp idea i just cant believe you doubted blitzen hahah dude is a champ he doesnt care about anything. him and bam look good has bam gotten any bigger? how is he doing is he getting good. we walk everywhere haha the other day we walked to this town that is pretty far away. usually we ride the bus to this town but our lunch was in a place that didnt have a bus there so we took these back roads and it was through the contry it made my week haha i couldnt help but think of that song about dirt roads. while on our way there was a ranch that had horses that didnt even look like they were starving hahaha i loved it so much i told elder hubbard we had to go back and take some pictures for you. we got letters and packages today but i didnt get any from you so maybe wed because we have a meeting in salvador where the area 70 is speaking to us. yeah p day is kinda a rush but we just take it chill and dont really plan anything hahah nap a little. i am getting better at the language and actually spoke in a lesson and had an investigator understand me haha my first miracle on my mission. elder hubbard helps me a lot because he speaks to me in portuguese all the time so i am so blessed for that. oh and as far as my truck you have two years haha. but i am glad to see you are fixing up the arean and everything so it will be ready for me to use when i get home. i cant wait for cookies and candy. hahah i bet fri i will get to come get on the computer again because of my training so i will write you more then. Oh yeah the zone leader living with us from Enoch, Utah is named Elder Oliver Demille. Love Elder Winn

week 7

This week has been a crazy mix of not knowing what is going on and just flat out not understanding at all. It is so frustrating not understanding people and I sometimes wonder if I will ever get this but I've got to remember that I have only 7 weeks learning Portuguese. We live with the zone leaders, and the one is from Enoch Utah, he told me when he got to the field he spoke less Portuguese than I do so maybe there is hope for me . We speak Portuguese all the  time so that helps a lot. that's way cool you went up to surprise grandma. i don't get letters or packages only on transfers and when someone has a meeting so email is all we got right now.. If you could send me some candy and cookies and a tide to go pen or two haha. i have a lot more time to email though so it is better.
ha I live in the poor area though. so no shopping malls no burger kings haha but the food that the members feed us is way better than burger king any way.  In Salvador there is a burger king and McDonald's the whole works but my area is the slums haha it is so crazy here because its so ghetto then a brand new car will drive by or you will walk into a house that is made of  wood and they will have a flat screen tv with a PlayStation haha. the members here are awesome .... you guys need to feed the missionaries because it is such a blessing to have members feed us. Last Sunday my companion had to talk in sacrament and I had to bare my testimony I had a lot of members tell me I spoke  well and they understood me so I was happy. Most the time during our lessons I speak and then Elder Hubbard tells them what I said haha because they don't understand me but I am getting better. It is really really hot here but I am getting more accustom too it I am getting tan haha. I didn't take many pictures this week because our roommates the zone  leaders got robbed in the middle of the day so I have been careful about my camera. We made pancakes today they were awesome.
